Our Support. The community administrators handle the logistics, including setting up the event on the community calendar, managing invitations, and sending automated reminders with any pre-session preparation notes to participants. We'll also share an announcement in the LinkedIn group about your upcoming event.
Your Role As Host. While we manage these administrative tasks, your role is to bring the event to life. This means sharing your enthusiasm through at least one LinkedIn post before the event. It’s also important that you:
arrive at least five minutes early,
create a welcoming space for all participants,
establish a foundation of safety and confidentiality for the time together, and
guide the conversation to keep the discussion focused and ensure everyone can contribute.
Event Expectations. Most events last approximately one hour. Once the event is scheduled, your commitment is important to our community. If an unavoidable conflict arises and you're unable to host as planned, we kindly request that you take responsibility for finding an alternative host among the participants. Like you, our team supports the community in addition to their own professional commitments. Hosts should not assume that the administrator will be able to help find a replacement or step in as a last-minute substitute once commitments have been made. We trust our hosts to honor their commitments and handle contingencies responsibly.
Follow Up Hype. After your session, we appreciate it if you could share a brief post in the LinkedIn group about your experience and any next steps. Talk it up and encourage others to join in - it will help build momentum for future events! We value authentic connection over polished presentation. You don't need specific facilitation experience - your coaching skills provide an excellent foundation for supporting meaningful group conversations. We do gather feedback to ensure sessions are valuable for everyone involved.
