Hello!

I'm eager to welcome even more of you to our new community and continue our shared commitment to each other and growth and excellence in our field. We’ve created a special page for those who may be seeking additional information or perhaps having an issue processing your membership. This page is intended to help - and - if you find that it doesn’t fully resolve your questions, please feel free to contact me via kate@coachescooperative.org.

I also wanted to address a question that’s popped up… is the coaches cooperative replacing the private LinkedIn Community? NO - the private BUCU LinkedIn community will continue to function, and I will continue to support that group to maintain the integrity, safety, and trust that we’ve built.

The coaches cooperative came to be as many coaches were looking for a community that could support them in ways beyond the capacity of a LinkedIn group. Many shared with me that they wanted a space where they could feel like they wanted to build community - and - they wanted to “move on” a bit from the challenges we faced with BU and cast more of a forward-thinking motion toward ways that we could grow.

  • The LinkedIn community grounded us in a space where we built unwavering trust. Everyone feels seen, heard, acknowledged, and respected. We intend to broaden our meaningful dialogue and build upon the robust foundations we established.

    Last summer, I embarked on a mission to craft a new vision for our community. I took a deep dive into the LinkedIn feed and quickly realized how often a great question or opportunity was missed because of LinkedIn’s algorithmic bias. I wanted to create a space where everyone had an equal opportunity to be seen and heard, to share and reap the benefits of a cooperative community.

  • The coaches cooperative is a community concept that continues to support the nurturing space you’ve come to trust in our BUCU community. It also represents our commitment to grow together in a space that provides enhanced privacy and security, allowing for richer, genuine, organic engagement. It's a home for sharing ideas, offering support, and spreading compassion. Together, we'll make a meaningful impact in the coaching industry, especially in areas we hold dear.

  • The coaches cooperative stands apart as it is conceived by coaches, for coaches. Distinct from other groups backed by coaching companies like BU or associations such as ICF, our community fills a vital niche. It is a platform exclusively owned by coaches and dedicated to our mutual benefit. This unique space is where we, as coaches, support one another's personal development, drive progress, and collaboratively shape an environment of shared growth and sustained excellence in our profession and preserve excellence in our industry.

    Our intention is to serve as fully independent and stand-alone entity whose sole purpose is to serve the interest of professional coaches.

  • Realizing a new community vision required a financial investment, which I’ve solely funded to maintain the community’s integrity and independence.

    The Coaches Cooperative is an entirely bootstrapped organization and operates without external investment, ensuring our agenda remains undiluted and genuine. There’s no intention to accept external investment or support any agenda other than what’s most important to the community.


    As such, we look to the membership to share collectively to support the financial commitments that underlie our community’s structure and success.

    Members will demonstrate their support through an annual membership fee - which will be assessed on an annual basis.

    The initial fee income inflows will be used to offset the start-up costs of this endeavor and to set up an operating budget to manage the fixed costs associated with community operations.

  • All members are required to support the community through an annual membership fee. Our aim is to keep this fee as reasonable as possible and provide financial considerations to those who are already members of the BUCU LinkedIn community. We are offering a 50% discount on the first-year membership fee, which brings the total cost to approximately the income you would earn from one RP on one canceled coaching session. Processing Your Payment

When we initially launched the community, we experienced a couple of snags in processing payments - primarily for members outside the US and Canada. We’ve worked with our technical support partners, and the issues are largely, if not completely, resolved. If you are having an issue processing your payment, please select which of the following issues you experienced and we’ll share an alternative payment option.
